Sony A550 reviews
The Sony Alpha A550 was announced in late August 2009, the year Sony broke records by announcing six new DSLR models. It features a 14mp Sony CMOS sensor and marks the return of CMOS-based Sony DSLRs after the not-very-red-carpet reception of their CCD-based trio of 2008 (A200, A300, A350). This camera, along with the new A500 create a new sub-segment in the Alpha line-up fitting somewhere in-between the entry-level trio (A230, A330, A380) and the Alpha A700.
