Leica DSLRs and Digital Rangefinders

Despite the fact that there are very few Leica DSLRs and digital rangefinders, Leica has more diversity in terms of mounts.

They have their rangefinder world, with the Leica M8 digital rangefinder (and it's M8.2 follow-up), they have their traditional SLR world with the R-series, which will eventually get a dSLR (the R10), and they also have their LeicaSonic Four Thirds DSLR series, which is currently represented by the Leica Digilux 3, which is a Leica version of the Panasonic L1 DSLR.

But that's not all. The jewel of the sensor-size crown in the Leica world is the new Leica S2, which approaches medium-format full-frame size. More on this camera in the next few months.

Because there are so few digital rangefinders (two total to be precise), we are blending them in with DSLRs. It seems like an overkill to create a separate blog for just two D-RFs.
