New Canon SX600 HS Wifi NFC superzoom and camcorders and ultra-mobile printer and mini camcorder
The N100 is not the only camera announced by Canon at CES 2014. They added one more model to their superzoom line-up, it is the new Powershot SX600 HS. It will have a starting price of $250, in black or white or red, with a mid-March 2014 release estimate. Details and pre-orders at Amazon.
It has a 16mp 1/2.x" CMOS sensor, a 18x optical zoom lens (25-400mm eq) with image stabilization, WiFi and NFC and mobile-connect button, DiGiC 4+ processor, 1080p video, etc. The mobile features start working at iOS 6.0 and later and with Android 2.3.3x and later, but you need Android 4.0 or later for the NFC touch feature.
Canon has also announced three new Vixia HF-series camcorders and a pan table-accessory (table, not tablet) to go along with them.
On the mobile printing front, they have the new Selphy CP910 ultra-portable photo printer with a starting price of $100. Yes, Selphy reads as ...Selfie! *gasp*
On the normal printing front, they announced four new Pixma printers, two in the MX-series, one in the iX-series, and one in the iP-series. All with wireless capabilities.
CES is a gadget show, so Canon has also announced a gadgety mini camcorder, the new Vixia Mini X is a compact compact camcorder with a f2.8 fisheye lens and DiGiC DV 4 with a CMOS sensor that records to an SD memory card. It has a $400 price with a mid-March 2014 release estimate. Details and pre-orders at Amazon.
