Hackery for Rental: GoPro Hero3 with custom housing that takes C-mount lenses

View Factor Studio, who specializes in video gear, has managed to take a GoPro Hero 3 action camera and hack at it and enable it to take C-mount lenses by repackaging it as the Novo.

However, these are not available for sale, only for rental. Basic details at the ViewFactor website and more including rental information at Radiant Images who is renting them out for $250 per day or $750 per week.
