Photographers to the rescue! Operation Photo Rescue is actively helping victims of Hurricane Sandy restore precious photographs that were damaged during the natural disaster and its aftermath. Next stop for them is the very populous New York City area. (via The Verge)

If you would like to help remotely or in person or by donating, they have a Volunteer page, but I did not find a volunteer form or contact information on that page. They do have a general email address which you can get to through the "Contact Us" link in the menu bar at the top of their website.
