New Canon Powershot N square wireless small digital camera
With the waves and waves of similar P&S digital cameras, it is always refreshing to see a digital camera manufacturer at least try to do something different or something unique. Canon did so today with the new Canon Powershot N, a square digital camera. Square as in the body shape. Don't get too excited, not a square sensor.
The camera has a twist-and-shout 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display on the back, an 8x optical IS lens starting at 28mm equivalent (f3-5.9), 1.1-inch thickness, Wi-Fi, microSD (not SD cards), recharging via the USB port like a smartphone, etc.
The camera was unique enough that it earned a one-page hands-on first impressions at dpreview by their resident lensaholic Andy Westlake.
