Leica is confused, posts September 2012 samples from new Leica M (240)

Leica is apparently still carrying on some of the film era camera development mentality, they published today Leica M (Type 240) web-size sample pictures along with a 2-minute video at the official Leica blog. For a camera that is not out yet, why are they publishing pictures taken five months ago? And web-size samples? How are you are supposed to evaluate a 24-megapixel full frame $7000 camera based on that?

Of course that didn't stop the Leicaphiles from sharing penetrating analysis in the Leica blog-post comments, already one Leicaphile has noticed the absence of the good old Kodak CCD magic in the new camera's 1.5-megapixel samples :)
