Picture #46,000 in the Readers Flickr Pool
All apologies, but we missed a couple of these milestone posts during the Photokina madness, but we are back on track now with milestone picture #46,000 posted in the Readers's Flickr Pool. As usual, we mention the milestone picture. This time it is a black and white picture titled "Spaniards" taken by Paul Perton in Madrid using the Sony NEX-7 and the Zeiss 25mm T* Biogon f2.8 lens.
Thanks to everyone for participating and sharing your pictures! The Readers Flickr Pool is a place where photographers of all experience levels and all camera types can share their pictures. Everyone is welcome to join and submit up to five pictures per day. This is not an 18+ group, so please do not submit adult-themed pictures.
Recent additions to the flickr pool are featured on the front page (and index pages) of this blog. We do not store the pictures on this blog or elsewhere - they are displayed using standard flickr widgets provided by flickr (the flickr badge), and maintained by flickr. You can add or remove your pictures at any time by adding them or removing them from the flickr pool and you can also join/leave the Flickr Pool at any time and for any reason.
Flickr has recently added more Pool Viewing options, so you can check out the pictures in the flickr pool in many different ways, including one picture per row (the Large option) - the most photography-priority view imho.
One thing to note that may not be obvious if you are intimately familiar with how the Flickr Pools work: A Flickr Pool is a dynamically updated entity, since people can add/remove pictures from Flickr or the Flickr Pool at any time and they can also join/leave Flickr or the Flickr Pool at any time. Therefore, there is no permanent position #46,000 in the Flickr Pool. What we do is we pick the picture that occupies the milestone position when we write the milestone blog-posts. If you check before or after, you may (or may not) see a different picture at that position.
