Curiosity factor: Samsung Android Galaxy superzoom camera reviewed
This appears to be the first english-speaking review of the curiosity-inducing new Samsung Galaxy Android-powered digital camera, the EK-GC100, published at Engadget.com. You can find the executive summary on the top right side of the Engadget page. The camera does not offer RAW, but it offers touchscreen P/A/S/M. The review includes web-size samples (direct link to Galleries) along with sample videos.
This is obviously a camera for boldly-going early-adopters, with a starting price of $500 through AT&T. As we mentioned previously, of the 130+ superzooms announced the last two years, only two superzooms are more expensive, the Panasonic FZ200 (RAW, f2.8 constant aperture) and the Fuji X-S1 (RAW, 2/3" sensor).
PS: Am I the only one who reads EKG when looking at the model name of EK-GC100? :)
