Camera & Lens Reviews pages updated (six cameras, two lenses) [and Canon 6D samples]
We have now caught up with the latest interesting Camera Reviews and Lens Reviews. On the lens review front, the recently announced Olympus 17mm f1.8 (not the old pancake) has received a detailed review at LensTip.com which is the human English-translation of Optyczne.pl... On the camera front, there were six new camera reviews since our previous alert (E-PL5, E-PM2, XF1, G15, DP1 Merrill) and the first english speaking review of the Nikon V2 mirrorless at CNet Asia.
One camera we haven't seen a lot from is the Canon 6D, especially since Canon has a long history of being able to release new products shortly after the announcement. This was even more pronounced this time around since the Nikon D600 was released very quickly and has been steadily in-stock. So steady in-fact that it was discounted by $100 this week.
With that as a long-winded introduction, dpreview has published 45 real-world samples taken with the 6D and the 24-70/2.8 II and 70-300/4-5.6L IS lenses. Note that the pictures were taken with a pre-production model! The samples are dissected in the dpreview comments. The 6D remains in pre-order status (keep track with future updates using our recently-launched Canon 6D stock status page).
