Zeiss developing new line of high-megapixel full-frame manual-focus SLR lenses
The Year of the Lens intersects with the Year of the 35mm Full Frame Camera in this announcement as Zeiss has made yet another announcement at Photokina: they are developing a new line of 35mm full frame lenses, manual focus, designed specifically for DSLRs with high megapixels (30 or more). The first wave will include three primes which have not been revealed yet. The new lenses will come out at Fauxtokina 2013 (fall of 2013).
The lenses will only be available in the Canon (ZE) and Nikon (ZF.2) mounts.
The computer-screen of the Zeiss dude in the picture has a lens diagram. I don't know if it is one of the three upcoming primes.
