Sunday Price Drops: Sony NEX-5n down $100, NEX-7 down $82, D3200 and LX7 and FZ200 down $50

Sundays bring price drops, and today there are a number of price drops, starting with the Sony NEX-5n dropping another $100! You can get the NEX-5n body only for $400, and the NEX-5n w/18-55 for $500 which is also available in silver. These at authorized Sony retailers like the aforelinked Amazon pages.

Also dropping after (Sony) stubbornly holding on to $1200 is the NEX-7! You can get NEX-7 body only for $1118 and the NEX-7 w/18-55 for $1268.

I am sure the price drops are not unrelated to the launch of the NEX-6 and NEX-5R mirrorless cameras, which sit right in-between the NEX-7 and the NEX-5n.

On the Panasonic front, the Panasonic LX7 has dropped $50, down to $450 in either LX7 black or LX7 white, which I often call "LX7 silver", so this serves as a blanket past, present and future correction :)

Also dropping, and further more, is the Panasonic FZ200 superzoom with the f2.8 constant aperture zoom lens for $550 at Amazon et al. Earlier in the morning the price was as low as $500 via Samy's and $509 by Amazon herself.

Not as glorious as the above, but perhaps of interest as a carry-around or throw-around or car-camera or kids camera is the waterproof Panasonic TS20/FT20 dropping to $120 in multiple body colors.

On the Nikon front, the 24-megapixel APS-C Nikon D3200 w/18-55 is down $50, you can get either the black D3200 kit or the red D3200 kit for $650. These continue to be eligible for the optional and stackable Nikon Lens Instant Rebates (expire Sept-29-2012 unless extended). But wait, there's more! Optional but completely free, you can get a free SLR backpack and 16GB Sandisk Extreme with the purchase of either D3200 kit. Just add the freebies to cart along with the D3200 and proceed to the checkout page. The price of the free items will be automatically adjusted at the top right corner of the Amazon Checkout page. The free backpack/SDHC promotion is stackable with the optional Lens Instant Rebates.

On the Canon front, the Canon Lens and Speedlite Instant Discounts expire on September 29, 2012.

For a refresher on all the above cameras, check their lists of completed reviews. After we recover from Photokina, we will add an easier way to find reviews for a specific camera at that page. Assuming the Photokina madness ends :)
