New Canon SX50 HS superzoom with 50x and RAW

And now here comes a big wave of new announcements with Canon! We start in the world of the superzooms, where Canon took some blue pills and increased the zoom ratio of the new Powershot SX50 HS to 50x (24-1200mm equivalent)! This should be the new holder of the superzoom ratio record! Fans of RAW shooting will be thrilled that finally Canon has decided to add RAW!

As the HS name suggests, and unlike the recently announced SX500 IS, this has a 1/2.x" CMOS sensor.

The camera is priced at $480 and it is available for pre-order with both (!) an October-2012 and a September-18-2012 release estimate.
