New ALPA 12 FPS (focal plane shutter)
Continuing with the Photokina 2012 announcement wave, we have a new modular piece from Alpa, the Alpa 12 FPS. FPS in this case does not stand for frames per second, but rather, focal plane shutter. It is interesting that medium format and RED continue to be leading the modular wave, with most of the camera manufacturers continuing their four corners strategy in this matter.

PS: "Four Corners" was a basketball strategy before the shot clock, where teams with a lead would just sit on the ball for minutes at a time, waiting for the game end.
