Epson showed XGA Ultimicron EVF with 2.4 million dots at Photokina
No, rangefinder fans, Epson did not announce a new digital rangefinder. But they have announced at Photokina 2012 a new electronic viewfinder, with 2.4 million dots (XGA times three (RGB)). XGA is 1024x768.
Details at dpreview and ePhotozine and Photography Blog and dpnow.com.
The Olympus E-M5 is using one of the existing Epson EVFs, the SVGA resolution (800x600).
Grumpy Photographer Corner: see what marketing did there with the Ultimicron name? They maximized the minimum! Ulti(mate) + micron ;-)
