Canon launches beta image management platform in the cloud

Slowly but steadily some of the digital camera manufacturers are adapting to the times, and today Canon has launched a beta service (cloud image management platform) with the name of Project 1709. It is a social-media integrated service of sorts. The beta includes versions in English and German. Just like other services that try to go viral, you have to request an invite before you can use it.

Due to temporary (?) Photokina-induced insanity (!), we do not have the brainpower required to check this service out right now ;-) But if you do, please feel free to leave a comment, or if you write about it on your blog or favorite forum, then please let us know so we can add a link to your first impressions.
