New Olympus SP-820uz iHS 40x superzoom camera (and new VH-410 P&S)

More new camera announcements today! It is Olympus's turn with a new superzoom leader, it is the SP-820uz with a 40x optical zoom lens (roughly 24-900mm equivalent), a 14mp 1/2.3" backlit CMOS sensor, iHS designation (thank you CMOS), 3-inch LCD and a starting price of 350 euro. AA-power fans may be thrilled because this camera takes AA batteries. Sadly (as usual), no RAW.

New Olympus VH-410 P&S
Olympus also announced the new VH-410 basic P&S digital camera. More at Optyczne.pl and Fotopolis.pl and DSLR Magazine et al. With a name so close to "VHS", it sounds obsolete already ;-)
