Adobe Creative Cloud $30/mo offer extended
+ The Adobe Store has extended the Creative Cloud promotion for existing CS product owners. You can sign up for a 1-year (12 month) contract for the Creative Cloud for $30 per month. After the 12 months at $30 per year, the price will go up to whatever the market price is at that time
+ the offer (the option to sign-up for a 1-year contract) is now good until June 1st, 2013
+ this offer is available to customers of Creative Suite editions or individual products, version CS3 or later (CS3.x, CS4, CS5.x, or CS6), who purchase directly from Adobe
+ this big extension of the offer may perhaps signify that the Creative Cloud has not been greeted as a liberator among photographers who may be happy to use the cloud as a storage service, but have serious doubts about using software as a cloud service instead of owning the software they use

Photography Apps
+ Vignette for 99 cents at Google Play and Amazon App Store with automatic free $1 mp3 credit (one bonus per Amazon customer between 7/2/12 and 9/30/12 - see terms)

Pentax September 1st discounts: MIXED BAG
+ good discounts: Pentax 645D for $8800 at Adorama and Amazon itself
+ no changes: Pentax K-30 w/18-55 black still $750~ at Amazon itself
+ bad news: K-30 superbundle disappears from Costco website (ghost remains in search results but clicking on it produces error page)
+ K-01 with 40mm pancake for $600 at Amazon and B&H Photo and Adorama (look for kits with free accessories in your body color of choice)
+ insert RANT here about manufacturer controlled pricing and Orwellian definitions of discounts
+ can we please let the market decide the prices? Isn't that one of the cornerstones of a free market? Or is the free market only used as excuse when our beloved corporate overlords are trying to avoid taxes or responsibilities or when they panic and declare holy war at the sight of a harmless Harvard professor?
