Curiosity factor: Canon D-Rebel T4i at Camera Labs
The Canon Digital Rebel T4i aka 650D aka Kiss X6i has been available for weeks and weeks, yet the number of completed reviews is shockingly small considering this model is the current leader of the Digital Rebel pack (aka xx0D + xxx0D series).
But today the review drought ended with a completed review of the camera at Camera Labs which includes various head-to-head scene comparisons with the Nikon D3200 (page-down to the small font links below the comparison pictures to see all four duels - they are not linked-to at the top of their review page). As usual, we won't spoil their findings here, but if you are in a hurry or running out of battery, you can jump to their conclusions before jumping to conclusions.
Now back to our inchoate conspiracy theory [blog reviewers, just like book reviewers, like unnecessarily complicated words, even if they don't make sense]. Look at the short list of completed reviews again. None of the reviewer websites are located in the USA, even though there are dozens and dozens of reviewers located in the US market and often have early access to review units. Compare that with the list of D-Rebel T2i/550D reviews. [we don't have a T3i/600D list of reviews - that camera, along with many other models "fell" in-between our Old Reviews pages and our New Reviews pages, and we still haven't found the time/energy/resources to create them]
On the availability front, all three T4i kits are in-stock at their regular prices at multiple authorized dealers each. Check the Canon D-Rebel T4i stock status page for the details.
