Sony announces new PMW-200 XDCAM shoulder camcorder

As previously teased and leaked, Sony has announced the new PMW-200 XDCAM shoulder camcorder with a sub-$8K starting price and a September release estimate. It is possible that this announcement may have accidentally triggered earlier rumors for a July 26 Alpha 36mp DSLR announcement. This is intended purely for broadcast video, not photographers. It has three 1/2" Exmor CMOS sensors and a 14X Fujinon optical zoom lens.
