Panasonic LX5 doing its farewell tour

We are updating a number of stock status pages [see the summary of our findings if interested), and it looks like the Panasonic LX5 is in the middle of its farewell tour. We just updated the LX5 stock status page and the camera is now gone (no longer available) from Adorama, J&R World, Vanns, OneCall, Buy.com [all of which previously offered the camera]. Of the major retailers we track, only B&H and Amazon offer it for sale.

July is historically a month where we see new Panasonic camera announcements. As you can see at the new cameras of 2011 and 2010 and 2009, there are always new Panasonic camera announcements in July. The LX5 was announced in July 2010, two years ago [wow! time sure does fly!].
