New Samsung EX2F compact-with-RAW (starts 24/1.4, twist and shout, 1/1.7")
More excitement in the world of compacts with RAW, a market segment that was once was thought as almost dead and buried under the weight of affordable DSLRs and mirrorless compact cameras. Today Samsung has revealed the new EX2F compact with RAW, with a lens that starts at f1.4 and 24mm equivalent, a 3-inch "twist and shout" AMOLED display on the back, a 12mp 1/1.7" backlit CMOS sensor, built-in Wifi (thus the F in the name), and such. The lens is a 24-80mm equivalent (3.3x~ zoom ratio).
The press release has a starting price of $550 in the US market and 429 GBP in the UK market, with an August release estimate. However, it is available for pre-order for $500 at B&H Photo and Adorama.
