Canon D-Rebel T4i kits return 404 at Amazon for at least 5 days

We forgot to mention this previously, but today is at least the fifth day in a row that the Canon Digital Rebel T4i/650D pages return a 404 (web error) at Amazon.com. One of our readers said their pending order of the T4i w/18-135 kit was cancelled. Derivational speculation suggests this might be related to the previously mentioned recalls?

You can find the three Amazon D-Rebel T4i links through the D-Rebel T4i stock status page. We first noticed this on July 14 when we did the most recent update of the T4i stock status page. Initially we discounted it as a temporary update/error type of thing. But five days later and still 404?

Our Superstitions and Conspiracy Theories department reminds us that there is a "4" in the product name, and this is a Japanese product where "4" is not exactly a popular thing.
