Sigma prices DP2 Merrill Big-Sensor-Prime at $1000

Sigma has a price update, they have revealed the price of the DP2 Merrill (prime lens, APS-C Foveon sensor) to be $1000 in the US market and 950 euro in Europe, with a mid-July release estimate. Perhaps the popularity of the Fuji X100 and the launch of the Leica X1/X2 is giving "rising tide" hopes to the Sigma DP-series. After all, the Fuji X100 goes for $1200, and the Leica Xs go for $2000.
