In development: Schneider 30mm f1.4 and 60mm f2.4 macro lenses (M43rds)
Photoscala.de attended the Schneider Kreuznach presentation in Germany and there, in addition to the previously mentioned 14mm f2 Micro Four Thirds prime, Schneider is also developing two more Micro Four Thirds primes to be announced at/by Photokina 2012, the 30mm f1.4 and 60mm f2.4 macro. This information was added in the second update at Photoscala.de (computer-translated).
This is turning out to be one of the themes of this year, the Year of the Lens with more companies offering more lenses for more systems. This is a competing "title" with the Year of the Full Frame cameras. As you can see visually below, after a long dry spell, the number of new 35mm full frame cameras is increasing, and that's before we factor in the rumors of reasonably-priced 35mm full frame sensors that could trigger new 35mmFF DSLRs from Canon, Nikon, Sony and Pentax at/by Photokina 2012.
