Hasselblad drops medium format prices by up to 23%
Hasselblad has announced price reductions on a number of their H-series models, with discounts up to 23% in both Europe and the USA market. See the new prices at Hasselblad.com and press release action at Imaging Insider and British Journal of Photography and Pop Photo.
Discussion of the price drops at the GetDPI Medium Format forum where one thread speculates busily that part of the reason for the price cuts is the fear of the Nikon D800s.
Stay tuned to B&H Photo for the new prices to be reflected. Currently the HD4-31 has been updated to the new price, but not the rest.
On the style front, Hasselblad marketing is (intentionally or not) getting rather campy: just look at this "The lion only acts when hungry" promotion. Seriously?
