Fuji X-Pro1 studio test samples with beta Adobe Camera RAW at dpreview

This is a double exercise, of both the Fuji X-Pro1 and Adobe's Camera RAW (ACR) software! Dpreview was given a beta version of ACR that supports the Fuji X-Pro1 and they published their standard Fuji X-Pro1 studio test samples. Their default comparison quartet is versus the Sony NEX-7, Nikon D7000 and Canon 5DMk3. The first two perhaps being the poster-children of the 24mp APS-C and 16mp APS-C sensors respectively. As usual, you can select and compare to any other camera in the dpreview test database.

Ironically perhaps, from the Fuji X-Pro1 perspective, out of all the mirrorless cameras out there, the Olympus E-M5 {reviews, stock status} came at the most inopportune time for the X-Pro1. Just as the X-Pro1 was picking up, the Olympus E-M5 comes out with a photographer-friendly feature set, and more importantly perhaps, half the price [of a take-pictures-with kit] and multiple times the native lens choices. Fuji may be thinking, out of the 20 different M43rds cameras, why-oh-why did the E-M5 come out now? Couldn't they just release another E-Pen or G-clone instead?

From the Olympus E-M5 perspective, the timing is near perfect, with the E-M5 coming out hot on the heels of the X-Pro1, at half the price of a take-pictures-with kit and a wider choice of native lenses.
