Official: Canon 1D C 18mp full frame Video-DSLR with 4K video

Bridging the gap perhaps between its new Cinema EOS cameras and its long line of stills photography dSLRs is the new (awkwardly named) 1D C video-DSLR with an 18mp 35mm-full-frame sensor and 4K video capabilities. The camera is detailed in technical magazine-style at CPN Europe. Press releases also out for Europe and USA.

Canon has also published a new Delay Repor(t) saying that the new 1D X will come out in mid June, while the 24-70mm f2.8L II lens will come out in July.

Certainly full frame fans are getting a bit of an "empire strikes back" type of a feeling as it is almost raining full frame cameras (and draining wallets) these days.
