New lens announcement: Pentax 25mm f4 for 645D MF for $5000

The previously teased Pentax 25mm f4 medium format lens for the 645D camera is now officially announced by Pentax. Check the details at the Pentax Imaging website. The press release mentions a suggested retail price of $5000 (five-thousand).

The lens is available for pre-order for $5000 at B&H Photo which includes the lens specs and details.

In recent weeks Pentax has allowed retailers to sell the 645D camera online, you can now purchase it for $10,000 at B&H Photo, Adorama and 3rd parties on Amazon (including the limited edition red).
