Fuji ORB confessions: working on modified sensor to fix issues

Time for a new episode of "ORB Talk Radio". Fuji has issued the previously promised statement on the X10 and X-S1 ORB issues. See the statement at dpreview. The second #1 step reveals that Fuji is working on a modified sensor to really solve the problems.

This was just posted at dpreview, so expect a wave of discussions to erupt in the dpreview Fuji forum as the news propagates and gets digested.

It would be nice if a manufacturer would simply confess to actual problems and own the issue instead of playing games and issuing delay-tactic firmware updates. Just come out and say that there is an issue with the sensor, and we are working to fix it. It may take time but it takes time to do a proper fix. Instead of doing the usual deny, deny, stonewall, delay, delay, delay, confess.

Fuji's ORB handling, today's worst camera gear problem handling in the world (since the Canon 1D Mark III focusing kerfuffle)!
