Nikon launches a 42x superzoom, the new Coolpix P510

Tired of the 30X superzooms? Fear not! Nikon comes to the rescue today with the announcement of the 42x optical zoom Nikon Coolpix P510, with a 24-1000mm equivalent range with optical VR! Hello Moon, hello Marklars!

Other features include a 16mp 1/2.3" backlit CMOS sensor and its associated 1080p video, a 3-inch (921 kilodot) vari-angle LCD display, Expeed C2 engine, built-in GPS, and more.

It will come out in February with a starting price of $430. It is now available for pre-order at Amazon at that price.
