New Pentax Optio VS20 compact-zoom with two shutter buttons
Pentax has been relatively quiet announcement-wise, but today they have announced a new Optio compact-zoom digital camera with a unique/unusual feature, two shutter buttons, one at the standard location and another at the "smartphone" location. The camera has a 16mp CCD sensor (so only 720 video), 20x optical zoom with sensor-shift stabilization (28-560mm eq), 3-inch LCD (460 kilodots), and a starting price of $250 USA and 200 GBP.
Press release parade at Imaging Resource, DC Resource, Photoscala, dpreview, Pocket Lint, PhotoXels, PentaxForums and Digital Camera Review (with hands-on pictures of the camera).
This increases the number of new superzooms [10x or more] in 2012 to 31 (!) new models so far. At this rate, it may end up being 31-factorial by the end of the year ;-) [see new cameras of 2012]
