New Fuji Z-series cameras: Z1000EXR and Z110
While the entry-level J-series and T-series cameras have CCD sensors, the new "bijou" Fuji Z1000-EXR camera is getting a 16mp CMOS EXR sensor with a 5x folded-optics optical zoom lens, Wifi connectivity, 3.5" touchscreen, and such. Details at Fuji.
On the more affordable side of the Z-series, Fuji is also launching the new Z110, with a 14mp CCD sensor, 5x folded optics optical zoom lens, and only digital image stabilization. More at Fuji.
As we mentioned in our Year in Review (2011) series, growing zoom ratios are a continuing trend. All these Fuji cameras, even the most entry-level of the entry-level, along with the folded optics and the elementproofs have at least a 5X optical, with some at 8X and some at 10X (T-series).
