New Fuji X-Pro 1 and three XF bright prime lenses revealed
The time has come! Fuji has now officially announced the Fuji X-Pro 1 interchangeable lens camera and XF lenses! Details at Fuji Canada which also lists the detailed specifications. The camera will be available around February 2012.
The sensor is a 16mp APS-C X-Trans CMOS. It uses an array of 6x6 pixel units (instead of the traditional arrangement) that allowed Fuji to remove the optical low-pass filter. Here is a screenshot crop from the Fuji PDF brochure that explains this visually:
The X naming theme is everywhere. The mount is the X mount, the lenses are Fujinon XF lenses. A lot more coverage, including previews, hands-on videos, and more after the jump...
You can see a cross section of the X mount that also reveals the back-focus distance of the three lenses (11mm, 21.9mm, 21mm for the 18/35/60 respectively)
The camera has a new hybrid viewfinder (optical and electronic).
Other features of interest include ten film simulation modes, 24fps 1080 video, 300 CIPA battery life, etc. See specifications for more.

Accessories include the EF-X20 shoe-mount flash, a hand-grip, a metal lens hood, an aperture ring (1/3 increments), premium shutter speed and exposure compensation dial, leather case and filter. Listed at Fuji. As you can see, there is a lot of "Leica fan" bait here ;-)
