Fuji launches new SL-series line of 24x to 30x hot-shoe superzooms
If you are a fan of superzoom digital cameras, put on your dancing shoes! Fuji has just launched a brand new series of cameras, the SL-series, with four models (SL240, SL260, SL280, and SL300) with optical zoom lenses ranging from 24x to 30x (yes, each one "grows" by +2x). They have a 14mp 1/2.3" CCD sensor (oh?), sensor-shift image-stabilization, 720p video, LiIon battery (300 CIPA), and a 3-inch (460 kilodot) display. A welcome surprise perhaps, a hot-shoe! More at Fuji.
And this is a great point of complaint: why create four cameras with nearly identical specs when you can just have one? It is things like this that muddy the waters and drive consumers crazy!
