New quietly released Fuji L55 basic P&S camera

Another quietly released camera has surfaced, a basic P&S from Fuji, the Finepix L55, with a 3x optical zoom lens, 12mp sensor, LiIon, etc. Some details at ePhotoZine. The camera is already available from a number of UK retailers (see the Google).

This brings the total of new cameras in 2011 by the major manufacturers to 188! Of those, 19 are of the interchangeable lens kind, and 52 are superzooms (zoom ratio of 10x or more).
