Panasonic reveals twin-lens 2D/3D camcorder (HDC-Z1000) with 10-12x optical zoom ($3500)
3D refuses to go away, but the market also refuses to embrace it en masse! What will happen next? We don't know! But Panasonic has announced a brand new twin-lens 2D/3D camcorder with two 3MOS sensors (13mp stills), built-in twin lenses, 3.5" display and 0.46" EVF (with around 1.2 million dots each) dual SDHC slots, Crystal Engine Pro II engine, no special eye-glasses and such. The lenses start at 32mm eq, have nano surface coating and offer 10x optical zoom in 3D and 12x in 2D, with different type of stabilization in each dimension. It goes by the name HDC-Z1000, and its opening price is for the serious camcorderistas, it goes for $3500.
