Panasonic planning serious GF-series camera, two Fall lenses (also GH-series a priority)
Now that you have digested the Panasonic GF3 announcement, it is time for future talk! In an interview with Photo Radar, a Panasonic Japan director said they are planning to split the GF-series, and release a "GF camera aimed at experienced photographers".. So if you have been waiting for a GF1 replacement, this is good news! The interview also mentioned that the GH-series is a priority! No specifics were revealed.
Meanwhile, Quesabesde says (computer translated) that during the European launch in Rome it was revealed that Panasonic will launch two new lenses in the Fall/Autumn of 2011. No details on the lenses yet.
Speaking of future-talk, the same Panasonic director (that was interviewed at Photo Radar) told Amateur Photographer UK that they are committed to the G system and will not change sensor format.
