New Sony A35 pellicle-DSLR, NEX-C3 mirrorless, 30/3.5 NEX, HVL-F20S flash
Sony has just announced two new interchangeable lens cameras, a new macro NEX lens and a new flash unit! Here are the announcement round-ups for each one:
+ the Alpha A35 pellicle-mirror DSLR, the third in their line-up
+ the NEX E-mount NEX-C3 mirrorless camera, the third in their line-up
+ the 30mm f3.5 E-mount macro lens for the NEX system
+ the HVL-F20S flash for the NEX-C3, powered by the camera
+ available for pre-order at Amazon
Also buried in the Sony Europe press release (before specs-table) is the announcement of firmware update version 4 for the NEX-5 and NEX-3. The firmware adds the new Picture Effect function and a Peaking function to help with manual focusing. This will be released on June 20, 2011.
These two new cameras increase the number of interchangeable lens cameras announced in 2011 (so far) to eight. Eight out of a total of 130 new cameras in 2011.
