Twitpic/WENN continue to avoid answering questions
A couple of weeks ago there was a firestorm on the internets when Twitpic and WENN announced their deal but refused and/or avoided to answer questions from photographers whose images could/would be commercially exploited by this deal - without the photographers' consent.
Fast forward to now, and the TwitPic/WENN duo continues to play word games and stonewall. PDN Pulse managed to get them to answer one question by email but the WENN CEO refused to be interviewed or provide any further clarifications. The PDN article is titled: "Twitpic: Laundering Images of Owners’ Rights".
The Twitpic/WENN story was featured on Sunday in the New York Times as part of a bigger story about online photos and user agreements. It was also mentioned today on public radio (via @freddint, @RobMac_)
If you haven't followed this story, PDN Pulse has a controversy 101 post.
Meanwhile, photographers on Twitter continue to raise awareness about the issue and they encourage fellow photographers to boycott Twitpic.
