Speculation: Does high-end laptop with CFast slot mean cameras with CFast are coming?

A couple of days ago HP announced a new trio of high-end EliteBook laptops. The HP Fan Site went through the new laptops with a fine-toothed e-comb and discovered that one of the three, the 8560w, has a CFast slot.

What is CFast? CFast is a variation of Compact Flash that allows much faster transfer rates. Brief explanations at Wikipedia and CNet Deep Tech.

So, the HP Fan Site further speculates, why would they put that slot in a laptop that looks like it has professional photographers as one of its target audiences? (check its specs)

Could it be that new digital cameras are coming that support CFast?

Thanks to one of our readers for the alert!
