Microsoft launches official Photosynth app, first on ...iTunes
Microsoft has launched its official Photosynth app, and the free app is available first on Apple's i-devices (iPhone 4G/3Gs, iPod Touch 4, iPad 2) in the iTunes store (direct link, opens iTunes). The app download is 4.4MB. The app has already managed to get 71 iTunes user reviews in just a few hours. A Windows Phone version will be available later. There is no mention of Android (via Techmeme)
Examples of Photosynths are available at Microsoft's Photosynth.net, and of even more interest to Microsoft, these are integrated with Bing Maps, which, judging by the blog launching the app, is the internal "sugar daddy" of the free app, which explains why it is first going out on iTunes ;-)
