New P&S digicams: Samsung PL20, ES80 and tape-delayed Sony J10
We are almost there! With these three new digital cameras, we have reached the total of 99 new cameras in 2011 among the major manufacturers. And it's only February 7, with the Japanese CP+ trade show opening its doors on the 9th.
The first of the three is a camera that apparently fell through the noisy cracks during the CES announcement-a-thon. It's a folded optics Sony P&S announced in Europe, the DSC-J10, with the ubi-everywhere 16mp sensor. Some details on this at DC Views, DKamera.de, Fotoflock, et al.
Fast forward to today, and Samsung has announced two new models, the PL20 and ES80, opening at $120 and $100 respectively. More details on these lovelies at Insider, Imaging Resource, P-Blog et al.
