Goodbye Sony NEX-3: Sony Japan ends production
Sony Japan is ending production of the Sony NEX-3 says DC Watch Impress (computer translated). As most of you who follow mirrorless cameras probably know, the NEX-3 lived in the shadow of the NEX-5. But the discontinuation this early is a little bit of a surprise. On the other hand, if Sony is going to use the same "flood strategy" on the NEX cameras that they have been using on Alphas, fear not, there will be plenty of models to not chose from ;-)
On the plus side, the NEX system can has ...robot lenses? [badly computer translated?]. This is apparently (from what I can make out from the computer translation) a DIY hack by DC Watch to attach a popular robot lens to the NEX bodies? Robot lens is a 37.5mm f2.8 pancake. Full size sample pictures with this setup are included!
