The Green Repor(t): Sony A55 uses recycled plastics

Sony Insider writes that according to Sony at CES 2011, the Alpha A55 is one of the "greenest" Sony products as it uses recycled plastics in 21 exterior parts of the camera. The recycled plastics come from optical disc manufacturing.

This is more of a silver lining, as electronics manufacturers produce millions and millions of nearly identical products every year, triggering a lot of (unnecessary) upgrade cycles :-)
