Rumors of Canon T2i/550D replacement with vari-angle LCD, XS/1000D replacement in red (coming at CP+ (early Feb))
Japanese website Digicame-info (computer-translated) [via Foto Actualidad] writes that Canon will reveal replacements for the Canon D-Rebel T2i/550D and XS/100D at the upcoming Japanese CP+ trade show which takes place February 9 to 12 this year. (Last year, its inaugural year, it took place in early March)
The T2i/550D replacement (presumably called T3i/600D?) will have an 18mp sensor, 3.7fps, 3" LCD, and DiGiC IV. And perhaps the most interesting aspect, from what I can make out from the computer translation, a vari-angle LCD like the 60D. The rumor also has something very testable: it says a redesign of the model name plate.
The XS/1000D replacement (presumably the XS???/1100D) will have a 12mp sensor, DiGiC IV, and it will be the first (?) "colorful" Canon DSLR, coming in black or RED.
Also coming is new 18-55mm II kit lens.
Please note these are rumors!!!
