Canon launches new camcorders headlined by $2000 XA10 (with 1/3" sensor)
While the A-series announcements were a yawn-fest, Canon managed to generate some excitement with a variety of new camcorders, headlined by the $2000 XA10. The camcorders use a new 1/3" HD CMOS Pro sensor.
Next up is the Vixia HF G10 camcorder (not to be confused with the Powershot G-series of cameras), going for $1500, followed by around eight more (!) models. You can find them all organized together at the Amazon pre-order page.
