Nikon D7000 body only can be ordered for $1200 (temporarily out of stock)
We have just updated the D7000 stock status page and both D7000 kits can be ordered from Amazon, offered by Amazon itself. They are in "temporarily out of stock" status as of the time of writing:
+ D7000 body only for $1200
+ D7000 w/18-105 and $1500
+ the status is "Temporarily out of stock" for both, but you can order them
+ please note the stock status changes often, so it may be gone by the time you read this. the blog-post-text cannot automatically sense and rewrite changes
If you are also looking for Nikon lenses, both D7000 kits are eligible for the 13 lenses of the Nikon Instant Rebates. The discounts are stackable, so if you get four of these lenses, you get four discounts with the purchase of one D7000 kit.
The D7000 is not listed at the Nikon Instant Rebates page at Amazon but all the rebate codes work. This is because Amazon removes a camera from the list when it cannot be ordered. When it becomes in-stock/orderable again, it usually only shows up in that page if it remains in-stock/orderable for a few hours in a row. (This appears to be the case for low-availability-troubled cameras. The D-Rebel kits get added faster from what I recall).
I just added the D7000 body only with all 13 lenses and entered the 13 promo codes, and all 13 have been discounted. Below you see a screenshot crop of the top right corner of the Amazon Checkout page:
PS: Some of the 13 lenses (70-300, 55-200 both) qualify for a free Tiffen UV filter each. This is mentioned on the individual page of each lens. Simply add the filters to the cart and they will be automatically discounted at the top right corner of the Amazon Checkout page. You can only get one free filter of each size, eg one free 52mm, one free 67mm. This shouldn't be an issue since most people won't buy both the 55-200 non-VR and the 55-200 VR at the same time. I did not include the filters in the shopping cart example above.
