New Samsung NX11 coming at CES, their fourth mirrorless camera [updated]
In our CES speculation during the weekend we mentioned a rumor of a Samsung NX11. That came true as Samsung will be announcing a new NX11 mirrorless interchangeable lens camera at CES 2011!
As speculated and as suggested by the model name, this camera is more of a "bug fix" release, with iFunction available out of the box (as opposed to a firmware update for the NX10).
This is (apparently) not using the previously talked about 1080p sensor that Samsung was planning for 2011. The NX11 offers 720p video with a 14.6mp APS-C CMOS sensor, and a 3-inch AMOLED.
The camera will come out in February 2011 with a starting price of $650 with the 18-55mm i-Function lens. This will likely put more pressure on the NX10 prices which goes for as low as $520 at authorized Samsung dealers (eg Huppin's on Amazon) and for noticeably less at not-authorized-Samsung dealers (eg $425 w/coupon LOYALTY15 at Abe's of Maine).
To celebrate the early pre-launches, we have pre-launched the Cameras of 2011 reference page.

CES Madness under way
It looks like Samsung is going to have a busy CES 2011, they have even pre-announced the Galaxy Player, an Android 2.2 iPod-competitor with access to the Android Market. Speaking of the i-P*ds, there are new rumors of three iPads for 2011.
