Sony A560 delayed until 2011 in the USA?
Alpha Mount World writes that the Sony Alpha A560 DSLR will not ship in 2010, but instead in 2011. This as AMW had a pre-order for the camera at Sony Style USA, and was told so by Sony Style as they were canceling orders.
From what I recall recalling, Europe was already scheduled to get the A560 in early 2011, and the A580 later this year. The US market was not scheduled to get the A580.
Sony has announced a staggering number of interchangeable lens cameras since CES 2008: 16 traditional DSLRs (two 35mmFF DSLRs), two pellicle-mirror DSLRs, two mirrorless NEXies and one camcorder-NExxie. If you want to do a recount, here they are:
+ A200, A230, A290 (A200 was first DSLR to be announced at CES ever?)
+ A300, A330, A350, A380, A390
+ A450, A500, A550, A560, A580
+ A850, A900
+ A33, A55
+ NEX-3, NEX-5, NEX VG-10
On a totally unrelated note, we close with a quote from the great John Wooden (typo corrected): "Don't Mistake Activity For Achievement"
